Who am I?

Who am I?

Allow me to introduce myself

My name is Amy

A 25-year old student from the University of Applied science Rotterdam, the fact that I’m a student is probably obvious if you look at my portfolio. I speak both English and Dutch.

I have studied Visual Design and have interned at a mixed media company where I first got in touch with webdesign. It wasn’t anything like building in Figma and you could compare it to websitebuilders like Squarespace or Wordpress. Now I didn’t think about it much at the time, but when I started to think about what kind of work I wanted to do and what type of work in the creative industry is making a big impact, I ended up looking at digital media design, specifically UX-design. So far, it’s been a lot of ups and downs, but I have been enjoying the study so far.

I enjoy working with people who are driven in their work and explore their creativity with each project. I value teamwork a lot with these type of people as it inspires me a lot when `I get to talk with them and learn from their work.

I have mainly worked on e-commerce UX-projects, but I would like to work on more creative, out of the box projects which gives me a bit more creative freedom, while also exploring new ways of putting UX to use. I have worked on physical and digital products alike, so I’m open to all sorts of UX-design. I would also like to explore accessibility more, as I feel like the more we go digital, the more accessible we can make the world itself, so all types of people are able to participate in our society.

When it comes to my ambitions, as of September 2025, I’m attending a minor in entrepreneurship in which I might be able to set up my own little business (while also working with three other students). The experience is nice to have anyway as it also entails branding, marketing and a ton of UX-related factors to be able to put your products, services and brand on the market and stand out.

If you would like to get to know me better or have any questions about my work, please do not hesitate to contact me and start a conversation!
